(IN)SOLITE STORIE
The book’s title "(IN) usual stories" plays on the idea that these stories are, sadly, sometimes all too familiar… But perhaps, by telling them — and by giving them new endings that are truly happy and full of hope — we can help build a different, and maybe even better, future for everyone.
The book addresses a particularly important issue: gender-based violence, through the rewriting of two fairy tales — Bluebeard by Charles Perrault and The Pot of Marjoram (vol.1 no.20) by Italo Calvino.
We believe that tales are a truly powerful and meaningful way to reach children, offering them stories that can inspire reflection and change.
The project was created to promote a culture of awareness and prevention in schools. Thanks to a successful fundraising, the book was reprinted in 500 copies, which we are now distributing free of charge across Umbria — and beyond — to schools and libraries.
We have also designed creative workshops where, together with children, we explore the meaning of words that teach important values such as consent, equality, respect, and more.

Our idea is to promote the care and regeneration of the Park by actively involving everyone: children and adults
Tomorrow, during the event "Perugia and Friends" we are going to take care of the park in via Bonaccia, together with the Association Fiorivano le viole. For those who have it: bring your gloves, shovels, hoe, garden shears and/or other garden tools! After sowing, we will do a small manual workshop 🙂

Ogni anno il 14 marzo si celebra “Il Pi Greco (π) Day”, la Giornata Internazionale della Matematica. La festa è nata nel 1988 grazie al fisico statunitense Larry Shaw che organizzò i primi festeggiamenti al Museo di Scienze Exploratorium di San Francisco.

Workshop per i bambini: MOLTIPLICAZIONI con il gioco di Origami!
“My box of STEAM” (2022-2-EE01-KA220-SCH-000099273)
Il progetto mira a migliorare il coinvolgimento degli alunni delle scuole elementari nell’educazione STEM, concentrandosi sull’inclusione dei bambini con minori opportunità, come gli studenti con disturbi dell’apprendimento e le ragazze. In particolare, il progetto adotterà un approccio multidisciplinare utilizzando lo storytelling come strumento per migliorare la creatività e le capacità narrative degli studenti nell’ambito delle STEAM. I risultati del progetto saranno 35 STEAM box per studenti di età compresa tra i 6 e i 12 anni, accompagnati da strumenti didattici per gli insegnanti per aiutarli a utilizzare le box in classe e a crearne di proprie, oltre che da risorse pedagogiche al fine di promuovere l’uso di metodi STEAM coinvolgenti e inclusivi in classe.

For the creation of our first #box we used a leporello, which the authors, the artistic duo Grimm Twins, also call
SILENT BOOK THEATRE.
Silent because it only contains images, theatre because it allows us to stage our storytelling.
The Silent Book Theatre is a bit of a game, a bit of a toy, a bit of a “stage” behind which the children find the courage to tell their stories; but it also presents itself as a fantastic workshop with which to make their own version,
adding to all the already numerous advantages, that of the development of fine motor skills.
It allows children to increase their coordination skills as they cut, glue, create,
while leaving ample margins for personal creativity…
The playful aspect should not mislead, these activities are an integral part of a varied and heterogeneous educational methodology. Being able to personalize their tool allows pupils
to be more aware and confident about the subject they work on.

Our project offers 24 stories!
12 stories are retellings of fairy tales, myths and legends.
The other 12, on the other hand, are true biographies of historical figures from the history of various countries.
This second cycle of tales is intended to provide a cue for teachers, as the same narrative tools will be created for them too, to show a different way of how history can be "told".
Real historical events and characters thus become the protagonists of a Story Box or perhaps a Silent Book Theatre!
A different, playful and innovative approach to offer an extra opportunity to those who dedicate themselves to teaching every day and want to give their students not just notions but a love of knowledge, the joy and fun of learning something more!

The aim of the #Storias project is to improve the literacy skills of children aged 5-10 years old by helping teachers to use storytelling for more effective and inclusive teaching.
STORIAS (2021-1-FR01-KA220-SCH-000029483) is a collaboration between six European partners, and is part of the ERASMUS+ KA2 school education projects.
Our partners are: Logopsycom (Belgium), Les Apprimeurs (France), Arsakeio (Greece) Międzynarodowa Szkoła Podstawowa Edukacji Innowacyjnej w Łodzi (Poland) e EuroEd (Romania)

Today starts the first event "GIOCHI DI OMBRE E DI PIETRE" by artistic duo Grimm Twins and Cultural Association Grimm Sisters
Music by Trio ARS ET LABOR
In collaboration with I Laboratori Musicali di Giò and Associazione Il Pellicano ONLUS.
The interactive shadow installation created by the Grimm Twins uses the figure of Saint Michael the Archangel fighting against the evil one.
Free entrance, mandatory reinforced green pass and wear FFP mask.

Two separate installations, one created by the artistic duo Grimm Twins dedicated to shadows, the other by the artist Mario Pizzoni, but which constitute a sort of continuation of each other. Both are dedicated to the idea of overcoming difficult moments, such as the pandemic.

Perfomance artistico-letteraria dedicata alle famiglie: letture di filastrocche e racconti natalizi, teatro delle ombre e illustrazioni animate.
Animazioni a cura di Grimm Sisters.
Direzione artistica del progetto Caterina Fiocchetti
con la partecipazione degli allievi dell’Officina LeggoPerTe, corso di lettura espressiva.
Realizzato con il sostegno del Comune di Marsciano.
Perfomance artistico-letteraria dedicata alle famiglie: letture di filastrocche e racconti natalizi, teatro delle ombre e illustrazioni animate.

con una classe seconda della Scuola di Villa Pitignano.

Raccontiamoci una fiaba è l'invito lanciato da noi Grimm Sisters per tenerci e tenervi compagnia!
Tra i nostri libri preferiti c'è "FAVOLE AL TELEFONO" di Gianni Rodari.
Nel libro, Rodari, immagina che un padre lontano per motivi di lavoro chiami ogni sera al telefono la propria bambina per raccontarle delle fiabe.
In questo momento di lontananza il telefono ma anche tutti gli altri mezzi come i social vengono in nostro soccorso... Così vi chiediamo di registrare per noi e inviarci le vostre fiabe per condividerle con gli altri.
Fiabe tradizionali che vi hanno raccontato prima di addormentarvi, o in giornate uggiose di pioggia... racconti che avete inventato voi. L'invito è esteso a tutti, bambini e non...
Noi siamo pronti ad ascoltare!
